Valentine's Day Cocktails (as seen on Today Show, NY, February 13th, 2010)
Chocolate Covered Cherry
1 tsp organic chocolate syrup
1 oz Camus VSOP Cognac
3/4 oz Cherry Liqueur
Directions: Shake all ingredients very well in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.
Garnish: marachino cherries and an orange peel
Bramble
3 blackberries
1 1/2 oz "Love Tea"-infused Bombay Sapphire Gin*
3/4 oz honey syrup**
1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
Directions: In a mixing glass, muddle the blackberries in the syrup and lemon juice. Add the gin and shake well with ice. Double strain into an
ice-filled rocks glass.
Garnish: blackberry and thin lemon wheel
*Love Tea infused Bombay Sapphire: for every bottle of gin, use 3 Kumi Love Tea tea bags. Empty bottle into pitcher
w/ tea bags and allow to steep for 30 mins. Then remove tea bags and re-bottle.
**Honey Syrup: Dissolve 2 parts honey in 1 part warm water and chill.
The Lovebite
1/2 oz Lucid Absinthe
1 oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka
3/4 oz Rose Syrup
parkling Wine (cremant d'alsace)
Directions: stir all ingredients with ice briefly, then strain into champagne flute. Top w/ extra sparkling wine and a spritz of rose water.
